It is interesting to know that Castells follows the much revered Antonio Damasio. I still think his work could greatly benefit from a more integral philosophical perspective as the one developed by Ken Wilber at Integral Institute. To look at the issue of networks (of all issues!) from a non-integral perspective will mean that his conclussions are more or less flawed.

Castells has been deeply influenced by metanarratives, structuralism and postmodernism in general, and that shows. Still, good as far as it goes!]]></description>
