The brief
Manage the production of an engaging multi-platform application which would provide the user with music recommendations and allow them to discover new music, as if Pete Tong had come over to your house.
Response
Working with Music Technology Limited – who specialise in music data analysis and personalisation software – Pete Tong and app development specialists Nice Agency, I managed the production to beta of All Gone Pete Tong.
Available for Apple and Andriod app stores and to download as apps for Mac or PC, the application algorithmically analyses your digital music collection and makes recommendations based on music you own and music you will like from Pete Tong’s twenty year back catalogue.
Upon installation the users iTunes collection is scanned by the app before matching and comparing it with Pete Tong’s back catalogue. After matching, the user is then delivered their first playlist mixing some tracks they own, some they don’t.
