With over fifteen years of communications, digital technologies and education experience Kathryn has worked with the likes of the Open Data Institute, McCann Erickson, the British Council, Microsoft, Swarovski, Technology Strategy Board, Handbag.com and Mastercard. Kathryn has advised numerous technology start-ups, agencies and publishers and was formerly non-exec director of In-Debate Magazine.
From 2012 to 2014 Kathryn helped start up the Open Data Institute as their Head of Content and Learning, and continues to work with them as an associate.
Kathryn was chair of the Online News Association in the UK until 2013. She has previously been a Journalist in Residence at Kingston University and a visiting lecturer at the University of East Anglia, Bournemouth University and Ravensbourne. She is a regular public speaker, keen photographer and until 2006 was online manager of New Statesman magazine.
